Volunteers’ Handbook
We understand the nature of volunteering and aim to be as flexible as possible while also maintaining a high-quality service and reputation.
Commitment expectations are role dependent and we hope that our volunteers find the experience and vibrancy it brings to their lives mutually beneficial.
Induction
New volunteers will be welcomed by and receive an induction from the Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Your supervisor will go through an induction checklist covering all essential information, policies and procedures and will let you know if you’ll need to undertake any training.
Expenses
We all know that the essence of volunteering is the donation of one’s services. But while volunteers may not expect remuneration they should not be out of pocket.
Volunteers will be offered reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses.
